FrontLook Dynamic Web Template Browser
The FrontLook Dynamic Web Template (DWT)
Browser enables you to acquire, browse and manage your new Microsoft FrontPage
2003 compatible Dynamic Web Templates (DWTs). There are three main
components to FrontLook's DWT Browser:
 |
DWT Manager / Browser - enables
you to browse and view the list of available DWTs on your hard drive.
This is especially useful when browsing a large list of DWTs looking for
one to apply to the current web. It also copies the DWT to the current
web so that you can customize the DWT for that web without affecting the
other webs that might use that DWT. |
 |
Dynamic Web Templates - sample DWTs
to use on one of your webs. |
 |
DWT Online Menu - enables you
to browse, view, purchase and install new DWTs from
DynamicWebTemplates.com. |
 |
FREE DWT Browser when you purchase
any individual DWT Package! |
|
|
FrontLook's DWT Browser does not apply DWTs
to your web site; that is accomplished using the new Dynamic Web Templates
menu of FrontPage 2003. See the tutorial on
Attaching a DWT to your web for
more info. |

What
are Dynamic Web Templates? |
|
Dynamic Web Templates (DWTs)
are new type of a design template in FrontPage
2003 that enables Webmasters to quickly change the look of the web site
(on a page-by-page basis) while providing content editors with a safe way
to add content to the page in predefined, editable regions.
Benefits of Using Dynamic Web Templates:
 |
Facilitate changes to the look of the web
site without bringing up every page in the web for editing. |
 |
Each page can have a different DWT
attached to it, providing an easy way to customize the look of different
sections of the web. |
 |
Webmaster can manage non-editable areas
or common areas that might contain site code and graphics that should
not be changed by content editors. Content editors can safely edit
page content in editable regions without messing up protected areas of the page. |
 |
Syntax compatible with DreamWeaver
Templates. |
