Step 3: Edit the DWT before Attaching to Web Pages

Make a copy of the master DWT
You will need to edit the DWT directly before attaching it to any pages
and it is likely you will need more than one DWT instance for your web, so we recommend making a copy
of the master DWT in the web. In the example illustrated below, we made a
copy of the "LinearBlue.dwt" file and called it "LinearBlue2.dwt".

Making a copy of the master DWT for editing
Setup the non-editable regions of the DWT
Bring up the new DWT file in FrontPage by double clicking on the
"LinearBlue2.dwt" file. Edit any items like logos and other common areas of
the design placing your web specific information in these areas.
Initialize the editable regions
Initialize the editable regions with your web specific information. This
will save time on pages that do not have already have that editable region
as it will be initialized so that you don't have to initialize those
editable regions later.
Note: If your web is
larger than 50 pages, you may wish to review the
converting a large web to a DWT-based web tutorial for more information.
