| Using the DWT Manager / Browser
Below is a
quick start guide on how-to-use the FrontLook DWT Manager / Browser product.
Step 1: Prepare your Web Backup your Web
As with any global operation, we recommend that you backup your web
before starting this process, it is always easier to restore the web from a backup than to
undo the global changes to a web.
Remove the Shared Areas from your Web Pages
Bring up the web you would like to apply a DWT in FrontPage and remove the
shared areas of the page (i.e., navigations bars, banners, and other shared
areas):
 | Super Theme or Shared Border Web
- If you are
converting a Super Theme or shared border web, you will need to remove the
shared borders, keeping only the main page content. |
 | Non-DWT Web Template -
If you are converting a non-DWT web template that was built using a 3rd
party FrontPage template that has common areas (FrontPage Navigation,
page banners, etc.), the common areas should be removed before applying
a DWT. |

Step 2: Select a DWT and copy it to your Web using the DWT Browser
Bring up the DWT Manager / Browser by selecting the "Format->Dynamic Web
Templates->Browse/Copy Dynamic Web Template to Web..." menu. The DWT Manager
/ Browser will appear.

Select a DWT from the Dynamic Web Templates list
Click on the items in the DWT list to preview that DWT in the Preview area.
You can setup the DWT Manager / Browser to view other DWTs that you might
have in different locations on your hard drive by pressing the Manage DWT
Folders button.

Copy the DWT to your Web
Once you have selected a DWT you can copy to the DWT to your web by pressing
the "Copy to Web" button. The DWT will be placed in a folder in the root of the
web called "dwts". 
Step 3: Modify the DWT for the web and attach the DWT to
pages in the web
