What are FrontLook Java Effects?

FrontLook Java Effects are a set of applet components, themes and clip art for Microsoft FrontPage for use in business and personal web pages. FrontLook enables to make your web site look more professional and more eye-catching with little effort while using the standard interface your use to in Microsoft FrontPage.

What are the System Requirements for FrontLook Java Effects?

FrontLook requires Microsoft FrontPage 2000, 2002 or 2003 running on a Windows 2003, XP or Vista computer. FrontLook Java Effects will consume about 13MB of disk space, mostly due to the web art. 

A small number of customers have experienced problems when FrontPage is installed on a drive other than c:. If you have any concerns about FrontLook working with your system, install the sampler. If the FrontLook Sampler works, the full FrontLook product will work as well.

If you have multiple versions of FrontPage installed on your machine, FrontLook Applets will only operate with the last installed version of FrontPage. 

The Themes will appear as normal in the FrontPage theme browser.

The EW version does not contain the JFX-VE product, the themes and web art.

Which Browsers are FrontLook's Applets Compatible With?

FrontLook's Applets are compatible with Netscape 4+ and Internet Explorer 4+.

Do I have to know anything about web programming to use FrontLook?

No, FrontLook was designed for those persons focused on web content (the non-programmer) creation. You will not be required to know HTML or any programming languages to take advantage of FrontLook. The user interface was designed to conform to the Microsoft FrontPage look-and-feel so that you not be required to acquire any unusual skills. See the Java Effects Help file for more info.

Can't I get Java applets off the web and put them on my web pages?

Yes and no;  you can, but you will have to plug-in all the parameters for the applet into the Java Applet dialog interface and set them up properly for the applet to operate correctly. We have done this work for you with a simple to use interface and provided you with a select choice of applets that make your web sites come alive. Our plug-ins also take care of all the editing and site management aspect of placing an applet on your web site.
