FrontLook Java Effects - Images Panel (Presentation Applet Only)

The Images Panel allow you set the images or banner to be displayed. Each image can have a URL, status bar message, sound and transition effect associated with it.


Presentation Applet - Images Panel

Image List - This is the Image List displayed in top-to-bottom order.

Up Arrow - Move the currently selected image up in the Image List.

Down Arrow - Move the currently selected image down in the Image List.

Add - Brings up the Add New Images dialog (see below) to add one or more images to the Image List with default settings.

Remove - Remove the currently selected image from the Image List. You cannot remove the last image and should have at least two images in the list or it the applet will not operated as expected.

Presentation Parameters - These are the attributes of the currently selected image as outlined below:

Image -  Brings up the Image Files dialog to change the currently selected image.

Audio - Brings up the Sound Files dialog to select a sound to play once the slide is in place. Select "None" to disable the sound trigger.

Target - Sets the Target window for the hyperlink. Select Self if you would like the new URL to appear in the current browser window. For a new window select Blank. Select Parent to return to the previous window. Set the target to 'main' if you would like the target to be the main frame. You can also edit the field to set it to a customer window or frame.

URL - Sets the hyperlink URL used when user clicks in applet. You can type in a URL or use the "Browse..." button to locate a URL on your web.

Browse... - Press to browse the current web for an URL.

Status Bar Message - Sets the Status bar message that appears when user puts the cursor in the applet.

Effects - Select from the list of image transition effects. If you choose the 'Random' item, the transition effect will be chosen by the applet in a random fashion.

Align - Sets the alignment of the images with respect to applet background.


Add New Images Dialog

Available Files list - The list of currently available file in the local master _frontlook folder on your hard drive.

Files to add list - This is the list of the files that will be added to the Image list after the OK button is pressed. After pressing the OK button you may notice a delay while the image files are being copied to the master _frontlook folder.

Move file arrow button - This moves the selected files in the Available Files list to the Flies to add list.

Browse Web for image button - Brings up the Browse the currently opened web dialog so you can locate an image on the web.

Browse Hard Drive for image button - Brings up the hard drive browse dialog so you can locate an image on the your hard drive or local network.

Remove file from Files to add list button - Removes the currently selected image from the Files to add list.

OK button - Adds files to the Image list. After pressing the OK button you may notice a delay while the image files are being copied to the master _frontlook folder.

Cancel button - Cancels the files add operation, no files are copied to the master _frontlook folder.

To Add Images to the Image List - Press the "Add" button on the image panel. This will bring up the Add New Images dialog. You can select images from the currently available image list or add images from the web or hard drive.

bulletTo add an image from the available image list, just select an image from the list and press the move arrow. The selected file will appear in the Files to add list.
bulletTo add an image from your web, press the Browse Web button and navigate the currently open web to locate the image. Then press OK and the image will appear in the Files to add list.
bulletTo add an image from your hard drive or local network, press the browse hard drive button and navigate to the location of the image you wish to add to the list. You can shift-click and control-click to make multiple images file selections. After selecting the images, press OK and the images will be added to the Files to add list.
