FRONTLOOK TIP OF THE MONTH
While FrontPage is a very capable web page
editor, there are times where you may have
to use a non-FrontPage editor.
Eugene Chase of DevPack.com outlines a simple
procedure for the placement of a FrontLook
applet on a non-FrontPage editor web page.
Check out this useful procedure at:

FRONTLOOK QUICK TIPS
USING FRONTLOOK WITH FRONTPAGE 2002
After installing FrontPage 2002, you will
need to uninstall and then reinstall your
FrontLook Products.
First make sure you have the latest FrontLook
installers from your personal download page.
See Accessing your FrontLook.com Account
section below.
The installer may ask you to choose which
version of FrontPage it should support.
Choose FrontPage 2002 and continue.
FrontLook Series 1, 2 and 3 will only
operate with the most recently installed
version of FrontPage.
CENTERING A BUTTON BAR ON THE PAGE
When using the Series 3 Button Bar Helper
to control the Scroller or Slideshow applet,
it may be desirable to center the applet and
the button bar on the web page. This is
usually as easy as selecting the object and
pressing the "Center" tool bar button. But
when using a button bar with labels that is
enclosed in a table, getting it centered is
not quite that easy.
The key to centering the button bar is making
a table that is as wide as the page and set
to center its contents. Then place the
entire button bar in this table.
To do this, create a 1x1 table, right-click
on the table and set the Horizontal alignment
to "Center" and the Horizontal width to "100%".
Then left-click on the right edge of the
button bar table and drag downward to select
all the cells of the button bar table. Then
right-click on the selected area and select
the "Cut" popup menu item. Then place your
cursor in the new 1x1 table you created above
and paste (control-v) the button bar into the
table. The button bar should now appear centered
in the new table and the page.

FRONTPAGE RESOURCES - POPUP WINDOWS
As you may have noticed, exiting popups are
all the rage. Not only to they provide a new
level of exiting functionality to your Web site
but they provide a tool to capture exponentially
more opt-in names for your mailing list or
newsletter, sell additional products and services
to the same visitors, and give yourself a "second
chance" to make a sale if a visitor leaves without
buying.
More information about the popups and their use
in FrontPage can be found online at:
