Using the Theme
background as the Component Background
Java applets do not support a
transparent background so you have to fake it by selecting
the background color or image of the page to use as the
background of the applet. If you are using a FrontPage
theme or FrontLook Super Theme, then the background image
is not easily accessed. This month's tip outlines a
procedure to find the themes background image and use it
as the component background image.

Using
an Eyedropper to get the Color Right
Here are links to 2 eye dropper tools
that measure RGB colors on your screen so you can match
colors on your web site. Both have their strengths and
both are FREE!

I use them to measure a color on the screen and
then I can set the color of a table cell. Or I will bring up
the Chameleon and adjust the color sliders and
check the new color in the Chameleon preview until I get a
match.
