Using FrontPage 2002 Link Bars in Super Theme Webs
By David Pfeiffer
Microsoft FrontPage 2002 supports a new type of Navigation bar called Link Bars used in making fixed navigation bars or theme consistent roll over buttons. If you have applied a Super Theme to your web and are using FrontPage 2002, we recommend you replace the top navigation bar with a custom link bar. This provides you with more flexibility in the setup of the Navigation structure. To replace the top navigation bar, please do the following:

Step 1: Select the delete the top navigation bar.

Select the top navigation bar and press the Delete key.

Step 2: Select the Insert->Navigation... menu item. The Insert Web Component dialog will appear. Select the "Bar with custom links" item in the right panel.

Step 3: Then press the "Next" button to use the page's theme.

Step 4: Then press the "Next" button to set the Orientation to Horizontal.

Step 5: Name the link bar.

Step 6: Edit the Link Bar, adding the pages that you would like to have on the top link bar (illustrated below).

Illustrated below is what the web site navigation might look like after adding the Top Link bar to Navigation view. You can add pages to a Top Link Bar and rename link bar text in the Navigation view.
