FrontLook.com Newsletter Tip

Volume 3 - Issue 6 - September 2003

Using the Quick Search Forms

The Quick Search Form dialog inserts a html search form to allow the user to enter a search term on any page and then press GO or a search button. The user will then be taken to the search page (previously inserted) and he will then be able to see the results of the search and refine the search further using the full tools of the search page.

Step 1 - First place your cursor on the page where you would like the quick search form to be inserted. In this tip we will insert a quick search form into the shared border of our Super Theme web site so use can initiate a search from any page on the web. Then select the Insert->FrontLook Site Search Engine->Insert Quick Search Form. The Quick Search Form dialog will appear.

After setting the various dialog controls, press the OK button to insert the form. Click here for more information on each of the controls.

Step 2 - Once inserted, the form and it's elements can be edited using the typical FrontPage form, form element and style sheets tools.
