Saving Animation Setups for Later Use
When using one of the FrontLook Page Effects to create your own animation, it
maybe desirable to create your animation library for later use. This is
easily done by saving the FrontLook Page Effect on a blank web page in a
special web just for your animations. Each page in the web would contain
a different animation.
Using a Saved Page Effects Animation
To use a saved animation, bring up the animation library web and the
page that contains the Page effect you wish to copy, select the
"PE" logo on the page and press the "control-c" key
sequence to copy the Page Effects component to the clip board. Then open
up the page you want to paste the Page effect on, select
"control-v" to paste the Page Effect on the page. Then double-
click the PE logo and press OK, to place the support images on the web.
Cursor Effects Templates
Several Page effects are supplied to make it easy for you to create your
own Cursor Effects with small images. The steps are similar to those
described above.
Step 1: Bring up a page where you would like to store your custom
animation - This maybe a page set aside to store your custom effect that
may not be used on your web.
Step 2: Select an animation Template from the Effects list -
Bring up the Cursor Effects dialog and look for the effects that begin
with "Custom -". These effects will be one of two basic types: Single
and Directional. The best way to understand the different types of
animation is to select one of them and press the preview button to see
the animation in action. Some of the effects use one image, others use
multiple images in the animation.
Step 3: Customize your images - Once you have selected your
animation template, set the image to be used in your animation by going
to the Images panel and changing the images used in the preview sample
(described above). These images can be regular gif files or animated
gifs.
